Doncaster tips: Tribal Chief fancied to strike gold in Lincoln

The flat is back! Kate Tracey is joined by Declan Rix and Sam Boswell to discuss the best betting angles for Doncaster's curtain-raiser.

The panel paid particular attention to the 3.32pm William Hill Lincoln, which sees 22 runners go in search of the £77,310 top prize on the Town Moor.

La Botte looks set to go off favourite for the Harry Eustace team, whilst William Haggas will be looking to notch a sixth win in this race with Eternal Force.

"We spoke to Harry Eustace on the website about La Botte in this and his comments were bolshy. I get the feeling this is the last time we see this 'fella' in a handicap, and this could be his day. His form stacks up and if you look at his prep run at Wolverhampton, watch how wide he swings round the bend and loses four or five lengths.

"His Royal Ascot and Newmarket form has been franked since and can completely respect him at the head of the market.

"One at a price I like is Urban Lion, as he is one of the prominent racers that goes well fresh. He could take some pegging back at a price for a yard that landed this with Johan a few years ago."

"I am with two runners in the big field handicap, which are Tribal Chief and Great Acclaim. Both ran in the Balmoral handicap last year, in which a fair few of these runners lined up. Horses that get beat in the Balmoral especially finishing ninth to eleventh normally go close in this race - including Godwinson and Johan.

"So Tribal Chief looks to bounce back after a little disappointing last year but at 14-1 I think he could be primed for this for a trainer that has done well in the past in this race."

"I like Greek Order in this at a price for Michael Bell and Jason Hart. He's an ex-Juddmonte performer and has been out to America, but ran creditably on yard debut when behind My Cloud. I think better ground will help his chances and it is a bit of a fact-finding mission - down in his mark I think he will go well.

"The yard are flying at the minute going at a 71% strike rate and there is no trainer in better form at the minute than Michael Bell. He has fitted Greek Order with the visor for the first time and I think he could be well-handicapped on old form."
